We loved attending the Christmas Eve service in our ward. The music was wonderful and the beautiful story of the birth of the Savior was shared. Many of the sisters dressed in bunads which were beautiful. We also loved attending Sacrament meeting on Christmas Day. It was a wonderful Christmas weekend in Norway! We celebrated Thanksgiving this week in Norway. The missionaries in the Oslo Fjord area were excited to participate in a “turkey bowl” on P Day. We met with our missionaries in Trondheim last weekend. There is a wonderful Christmas store near the church. Everyone wanted to tag along. Christmas in Norway is magical!
We traveled to Arendal a few weeks ago to visit our missionaries and to also speak in church. The Branch in Arendal has met in the same building for 30 years. They are moving to a new location. The Sunday we visited was the week before the move. They removed all the pictures from the walls and everything was boxed…
We love welcoming new missionaries to Norway! This week we welcomed 4 elders and 2 sisters! I told them that they arrived at the perfect time of year. Winter in Norway is magical! We even had snow on the ground for an added touch!
