We traveled to Tromsø on Saturday for a District Conference. The Northern branches are the responsibility of the mission. We love the faithful members who travel many miles to attend these meetings. We said goodbye this week to another amazing group of missionaries. We will miss them. We enjoyed their last evening together at the mission home. We were joined for dessert by several families who were picking some of them up. It was a perfect night in Norway!

May 17th is Constitution Day in Norway. It is a special day for Norwegians, including those of Norwegian decent like my family. I remember celebrating as a child at our local Sons of Norway lodge in Portland Oregon. There was flag waving, dancing, the wearing of rational costumes and lots of food. We are going through a very busy period right now with missionaries coming and going. It is aways bitter sweet to say goodbye and this group was no exception! We will miss them. We love these great missionaries!! Ha det bra!
We drove to Arendal and then on to Kristiansand for a baptism last weekend. We had perfect weather. It is always fun to see our missionaries. We stopped in Arendal…did a quick apartment check and then we took the elders to dinner. We attended the baptism and sacrament meeting in Kristiansand on Sunday morning and then drove home again.
