We held our December Mission Leadership Council at the Institute Center in Oslo. These great missionaries travel/serve and train missionaries all over Norway.
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. We had our first family visitors! Our son Chad and his wife Mairin came from London. We had 19 for dinner on Thursday evening. We loved having our home filled with family and missionaries. Thanks to Elder and Sister Brostrom for helping with the food and fun!
On P Day some of our missionaries gathered in Oslo to participate in a turkey bowl. They played for over 2 hours on frozen astro turf. It was 26 degrees. President Hill and I joined the party for about 45 minutes and we froze! We are grateful that there were just a few minor injuries.

Last week we held zone conferences in Stavanger, Trondheim, and Oslo. We love the opportunity to see all our missionaries. Because of the geographical size of our mission, it is also fun for missionaries to see other missionaries. It is a whirlwind day of traveling, teaching, learning and eating….but worth the effort. This week we had our monthly MLC meeting in the mission home. We have 2 new Sister Training Leaders and a few new elders called to be Zone Leaders. It is always fun to have the sisters come the night before for training. We made cookies to serve with lunch on Wednesday.
We were happy/sad that three great Elders finished their missions and headed home this week. They all extended one transfer so we had bonus time with them! They were wonderful missionaries and we will miss them. We drove to Fredrickstad to attend a Fall Ward party.
