Mo i Rana Norway…

November 24, 2015Søster Hill5 comments

We visited our wonderful missionaries and the branch in Mo i Rana last weekend. It is a beautiful town but quite difficult to get to…especially in bad weather. We flew in a small plane which had to be deiced several times. One of our flights was cancelled and we were told that there is no food at the airport in the winter so we had a candy bar and drink out of the vending machine. We made it home safe and it was a great adventure. We had our Sunday meetings with a sweet family, a new convert, the missionaries and us!

Elder Christensen and Elder Decker in one of the cleanest apartments in the mission! A sweet lady gave them the artwork on the cupboard.

Isn’t this koselig! It is Norwegian word for anything cozy, nice, or lovely. Something that “hits the spot!” This was on the table of the missionaries apartment! How wonderful!

A member that is a care facility had this beautiful painting on the wall. It was her family farm and was painted by her father. Koselig!

The statue in the fjord is called “The Man From the Sea” There was a bird resting on his head when I took the picture.

Thank you so much for sharing your blog post and pictures. I am so grateful. It is nice to see that clear across the world children are the same, putting the bunny ears above the siblings head.
Sincerely,
Ramona Burpee (Elder Decker’s Great Grandma)
