The weeks seem to be flying by. I can’t believe that tomorrow is March 1st! President Hill and I flew to Bergen. I always sit in the middle seat because President Hill is tall and has long legs. Saturday morning our flight was not full so I got to sit next to the window and the view was beautiful!
Zone Conference week is a favorite! We started on Tuesday in Oslo with the Østlandet and Telemark Zones. We traveled to Stavanger Tuesday night for a Wednesday Zone Conference. Wednesday night we flew to Trondheim for a Thursday Zone Conference and then home to Oslo late Thursday night. We love spending time teaching, training, eating and just enjoying a few…
This has been a crazy few weeks. I had special permission to go to Utah for a few days to help with a new grandchild that was born in November. It was great being with family and friends but I missed being in Norway with President Hill and all of our great missionaries….so I am back and we are preparing…
We traveled to Tromsø on Friday and visited the Olsens. We have a great group of missionaries serving there. The weather is warming up and it even rained a little. We were thrilled to celebrate with the future Sister Lyng from Alta. She has been called to serve a mission to Albania and leaves next week. We made soup and cinnamon rolls for the World Wide Missionary Broadcast. Thanks to Sister Sister Brostrom and Sister Lemon. ….and Thursday we traveled to Fredrikstad for their district meeting! Someone sent Sister Baud a life-sized flat Stanley. He joined us for the picture!
We have had a busy month! It started on new Years Day with some of the local missionaries joining us for the afternoon. We ate Cafe Rio Mexican food and we played a few games. We love the opportunity to have the missionaries in our home. It was a great day! Blog alert…I may add a few more pictures later….
We enjoyed a wonderful Christmas in Norway! We were hoping it would be white but the snow did not fall. We enjoyed dinner with the Lemons and Brostroms on Christmas Eve. On Christmas morning we helped to make breakfast for the missionaries serving in and around Oslo.
