Zone Leader Training…

April 13, 2017Søster Hill7 comments

A wonderful two weeks of Zone Leader Training!

First stop Drammen and the Telemark Zone.

Elder Mickelson and Elder Mitchell spent the morning teaching the missionaries how to keep their “line in the water.”

There are wonderful large windows around the top of the Drammen Chapel. They let in lots of light 🙂 We were happy to have a visitor Eivind Top join us for the day!

Thanks to the senior couples for helping with lunch. Elder & Sister Hill, Elder & Sister Torgesen and Elder & Sister Robinson.

Companions….

….Who look alike!

Telemark is now our largest zone….

On to Trondheim and The North Zone…

President Hill and I walked from our hotel to the church. This is the view from the bridge. Our missionaries see this everyday!

Elder Hoopes and Elder Wandtke serve as zone leaders. They had a captive audience! Great teachers!

Elder & Sister Brown and Elder & Sister Miller joined us for the day and prepared a wonderful lunch. The Browns are serving in Trondheim and the Miller are way up North in Tromsø.

Sister Atanasio can tell quite the story!

The following week we traveled to Stavanger…The Vestlandet Zone…

Elder Hailes and Elder Arveseth are serving as zone leaders in the West.

Elder Arveseth taught a great object lesson about how to support each other while serving as missionaries and/or ward members.

Elder & Sister Gormely made Hawaiian haystacks. They are a great team – we appreciate all they do for us!

Sister Hutchings and Sister Cockrell have some advice! If you find a cute, modest dress…on sale…you each buy one…and so they did!

And finally the Østlandet Zone…

We were well taught by Elder Richardson and Elder Witt.

President Hill and I teach/remind/reinforce/plead/share IMPORTANT mission information. Husk, Husk is “remember, remember” in Norwegian. We read somewhere that most things have to be taught 7 times in 7 ways to be remembered…we believe that to be true!

Elder Hall and Elder Dawes sharing the sad truth about speeding tickets in Norway! They learned the hard way. 6.5 miles over the speed limit = $400 US dollars 🙁

President Hill teaching the group how to lead music.

We are blessed to have been called to serve with these wonderful missionaries in Norway!

Sister Dawes! We have a connection. Hayley Johnson is my niece and Elder Nathan Brian Johnson’s cousin! Sorry to hear about the unexpected expense!

You do a wonderful blog! I served a British mission in 1958 -1960, I didn’t have this much fun or as much food. I am Elder Bleggi’s grandma and every time I see a picture of him I laugh, Kolton is such a fun guy! I am so grateful to the Hill’s for being such great examples and for taking such good care of these wonderful missionaries. Thank YOU!
