The week in review…

August 13, 2016Søster Hill6 comments

This was a great week. We traveled to Kristiansand and had dinner with the Torgesen’s and the wonderful missionaries serving there. Sister Torgesen made a bløtkake (Norwegian cream cake).

It was amazing!

We stayed the night in Grimstad and drove on to Arendal for church on Sunday morning. Grimstad is quaint and beautiful.

Thursday and Friday was Interim Training. It is great to see our newer missionaries at the end of their first transfer. It is a time to teach, train, answer questions, and lift! They are over jet lag, settled into life in Norway and ready to learn.

This blog is such a blessing to me. My son arrives on Tuesday and my momma heart find such peace in knowing what wonderful people he will be with – both you and President Hill, as well as those sweet valiant missionaries. Thank you for your frequent updates – Norway doesn’t seem halfway around the world.

Love the Bløtkake picture. Remember when our Norwegian teacher made one for our class. We all gathered in the kitchen of the Green House one afternoon and had a fun Norsk food party? Ahhhh, those were the days.

Sister Hill–thanks for posting such wonderful pictures! I love seeing the smiles on everyone’s faces. I’m sure each has his and her own challenges, but I love their collective optimism and the light that shines in their countenances. Our son will join you in Norway today–I look forward to seeing his smiling face pop up on your blog as occasion permits. Thanks again for helping us feel connected!
