We had our mission leadership council this week. We added a few new faces to the crowd. It is always a highlight of the transfer to gather for this important training and enjoy the opportunity to share ideas. We love these wonderful missionaries and are grateful for their positive influence on our mission.
We love our branch in Mo i Rana. We had a great time visiting for branch conference this weekend. Elder Tangen and Elder McIntire are doing great things! _______________________ Elder Bjerga finally has a visa so he is off to the Colorado Denver North Mission! We are sure going to miss him!
Two great missionaries completed their service in Norway this week. We love them both and we will miss them. Sister Ulrich was one of the first sisters I met when we came to Norway last year. She had just been transferred into our ward in Sandvika. Elder Jacobs has served wonderfully with us as an assistant.
We had a wonderful 4th of July! We attended the baptism for Cia in Romerike. She was taught by Elder Killpack and Elder Gurr.
It is wonderful to bring our new missionaries and their companions to Oslo for Interim training. Having been in the country 5 weeks, they are ready to be “pumped up.” The missionaries love seeing their fellow missionaries from the MTC. It is a highlight of the transfer with two power packed, delightful days together!
We were thrilled to have Elder Kearon, the Europe Area President, visit our mission last week for our zone conferences and MLC. It was such a blessing to be taught by him. Our missionaries are always happy to be reunited with old companions, MTC groups and other great missionaries. Some of the missionaries had to run to catch the train…
Saturday morning we said goodbye to two faithful sisters. Sister Horner and Sister Randall extended for 30 days to help with the training of the new sisters. They will be missed!!!
We love the couples who serve with us in Norway. We were able to meet together this week to share ideas and learn from each other. We also had fun on a rainy day at the Folk Museum. I hope to add a some additional pictures of our few days together…
This seagull hatched these babies on the roof of the Tønsberg church. We watched as the mom gave her babies instructions and then flew down to wait as the chick got up the courage to leap off the roof . President Hill has been doing interviews with the missionaries for the past few weeks. Most of these have been done…
We flew to Bodø for a Branch Conference last week. It was warm and sunny when we arrived and we had hoped to see the midnight sun. But alas, by evening the clouds had rolled in 🙁 It is one of the most beautiful places in Norway! Also…the town was hosting a female drum competition which was very entertaining.
