Tromsø and Alta….

January 25, 2016Søster Hill4 comments

We traveled to Tromsø on Friday and visited the Olsens. We have a great group of missionaries serving there. The weather is warming up and it even rained a little. The sun came up for a little while on Saturday morning. They had about 10 minutes of sun on Wednesday and then cloudy skies for a few days….Saturday the sun came out for about an hour! The Olsens were dancing with delight because they had been in the dark since November 21st!

The view from the apartment complex where the Olsens live. The fjord was as clear as glass!

You have to wear ice clips on your shoes. The sidewalks and streets have gravel on them but are still slippery!

We flew to Alta on Saturday. Alta is 300 miles above the Arctic Circle. This was the view outside our hotel window. This is the Cathedral of the Norther lights. We were sad it was too cloudy on Saturday night so we did not get to see them this time….

Sister Hill, your blog is magical! Absolutely magical. I love to read it! The new color combo looks great, by the way.

Sister Hill, I didn’t know another way to contact you so I thought I would leave a comment on your blog. My wife, son and in-laws (who served in Norway) will be in Norway June 26-28th. We would love to stop in and say hi if that would work out.
